The Need & Our Approach
Why cotton, why now, and how we intervene
The Problem We Are Solving
Cotton is India's most important non-food cash crop and a primary source of livelihood for millions of smallholder farmers. However, in rainfed regions such as the Adilabad belt, cotton cultivation is becoming increasingly unsustainable due to rising production costs, degraded natural resources, climate variability, and limited access to premium markets.
These challenges disproportionately affect tribal farming communities and women, who contribute significantly to agricultural labour but receive limited economic benefits.
